Open Hands Scholarship (Fund)

In South Sudan, millions of children wake each day with a desire to learn — but without the opportunity to do so. More than 70% of children are not enrolled in school, one of the highest rates in the world.

For many families, access to education is limited, resources are scarce, and the cost of schooling is simply out of reach.

The Open Hand Scholarship Fund exists to bridge that gap — transforming desire into opportunity, and opportunity into a future.

Because when one child is given access to education, it does more than change a single life…

It strengthens a family, uplifts a community, and shapes the next generation.

Project Objective

Our goal is to support a minimum of 50–100 children ages 14 and under by providing tuition scholarships, school uniforms, and essential educational resources. Through this support, we aim to remove barriers and help each child succeed academically and personally.

Scholarship Requirements

To remain eligible for the Open Hand Scholarship Fund, each student must:

  • Be officially registered in school and complete each academic semester

  • Maintain and submit academic progress/grades to continue in the program

  • Uphold the Little Hands “5 Finger” core values

  • Actively participate in LHSS community and youth programs

We believe in leading with action.

As part of our commitment to the mission, we have dedicated 9,000,000 SSP to launch the Open Hand Scholarship Fund.

This investment will help provide tuition, uniforms, and essential resources for children in South Sudan who deserve access to education.

But this is just the beginning.

We invite you to join us — because real change happens when we come together.
